ABOUT:
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
There are four aims of Scouting: citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership.
The methods of Cub Scouting are: living the ideals, belonging to a den, advancement, family involvement, activities, serving the community, and the uniform.
Cub Scout Pack 116 is open to girls in kindergarten through fifth grade; our program year follows the school year. New Scouts can join at any time. As your child advances from Lion (kindergarten) to Arrow of Light (fifth grade), she will learn new things and new skills to meet challenges and prepare her for Scouting BSA.
Our Pack has plans to join our brother Pack 316 for numerous fun events throughout the year, including campouts, holiday Sleigh Races, Pinewood Derby (a Cub Scouting staple), and other pack events so siblings can experience scouting together.
Most meetings are held at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church. Meetings are held every other Tuesday. The pack will meet as a whole, and then split out for rank specific activities. Due to the current COVID pandemic, we are only meeting off site and virtually.
